Welcome to the Chair's Needs Page


On this page I'll list current needs, and encourage those who check the page to help us out.  Our budget remains tight.  We're delighted by the many alumni who continue to contribute when and where they can to help out.

My current priorities:

1.  Funding to support the W&M Biology Department Newsletter I want to restart, after Larry had to give it up for lack of resources.

2.  Support for the _____ research fund, used to support student/faculty research collaborations that have no grant funding or other sources.  These go to fund supplies or materials for small projects and summer support for student/faculty projects that often arise unexpectedly.  This fund is our primary way for students and faculty to take advantage of sudden opportunities or mitigate sudden disasters from broken equipment or building failures.
