As Editor in Chief, I'm trying to restart the Biology Department Newsletter, in both a web and print edition (when we can afford it).

I'm seeking biology people with interest, time, and talent (in that order) to begin the task of putting out one newsletter in each semester (at least to start).  Editorial positions are open to interested faculty members, staff members, or students (and even interested alumni).  For students, this is a chance to develop some biology writing experience!  The positions are currently unfunded, with appointments renewable on a semester by semester basis, depending upon performance.  (I should note that the 'Editor in Chief' is planning to do none of the work, but for now, email your applications or nominations to me at pdheid@wm.edu.)

In the future, we'll be posting links to articles and commentary, and we'll also add a page for submission of articles by alumni and students ('freelance reporters').

Newsletter Editor: currently OPEN to an interested faculty member, staff member, or student!  Submit to the Editor in Chief your name or the name of a friend (or enemy), and any materials you wish to add.

If you want to support the Newsletter (financially), please click on the link [that we'll insert later, to W&M Endowment Assoc or W&M  Development Office or both?]  to make an instant contribution, or else send a check made out to ['College of William and Mary Endowment Association', and PLEASE specify ' for the Department of Biology Newsletter', or else we won't get it!]  Address of the Endowment Association will go here....

THANKS!

Paul
